Home Learning during school closure

If your child is isolating at home due to testing positive for COVID but is not showing any symptoms, they will be sent work to complete at home via Tapestry. This will normally be setup the day after we receive notice of their illness. In the meantime , they can access their Reading books, Doodlemaths (year 1 upwards), Accelerated Reader  and Bug Club reading books.

Please check Tapestry daily, during normal Term Time, for Year Group specific activities from your teachers - you can also use this to share your educational activities at home.

The children are used to a happy routine at school and it might help you to imitate this at home. It might be nice to agree a timetable for the day.

You might like to make up a few boxes for “learning time” that get packed away each day. This keeps resources special. You don’t need much to support learning so here are some key resources.
 Your child’s learning journal we sent home
 A supply of scrap paper and card (all sizes)
 Coloured pencils and pens
 Junk modelling stuff, glue, tape.
 Access to a laptop or iPad once a day for teacher’s blog on Tapestry.
