The children have settled back into school life beautifully after Christmas.
We have been busy focusing on shape, space and measure in maths. The children have loved exploring different methods of measuring, including, tape measures, cubes and rulers.
As part of our writing, the children independently wrote a piece about what they wanted to be when they grow up. It has been wonderful to see the children applying their phonics skills in their writing.
The winter walks and ice exploration has also also been very popular with lots of talk and discussions around the ice melting and questions such as ‘why does it not get icy every night?’
I cannot wait to see what learning takes place this term! It is such a joy watching the children develop and friendships grow.
Well done, Cygnets Class!
